       Conductor, Orchestral and Choral Arranger: Boricua College

Commissioned to arrange and orchestrate the danza ‘Perla del Caribel’ for 30th Anniversary performances at Symphony Space, others.                                   

 

1996 – 2006    Music Director, Director, Teacher: Centenary Theater Young Performers ,NJ

        Directing a musical, music directing 3 musicals each spring and fall semester.

Created and taught their first (performance-based curriculum) singing classes for pre-teens.

 

01/03 – 06/03              Music Director: City Lights, NY

Composer and teacher for the “Standing Tall Project”, creating with fifth grade witnesses to the September 11th disaster a play with music.

 

09/98 – 06/02              Music Department Chair: The Hudson School, NY

Developed and taught a curriculum for grades 6-12, coordinated teachers, classes, and concerts; directed musicals; expanded choral and instrumental arts; created an “Honorary Arts Society”.

 

01/95-06/00                 Theater and Music Director: Adults and Children in Trust (A.C.T), The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, NY

                                    Developed a performance based musical theater program for pre-teens; directed and accompanied all classes, rehearsals and seasonal performances at two sites; worked with interns and other staff to implement aspects of music and theater into their courses; arranged for performances at neighboring schools and guests; researched and prepared an original children’s repertory with an emphasis on text, craft and age-appropriate morals; stimulated and increased enrollment.
